Activity Packs to Keep Little Ones Busy
Friday, May 11, 2007These were formerly Kids Travel Packs, but now the folks at Four Peas are calling them Activity Packs, presumably because the kids don’t have to be traveling to enjoy the goodies contained within. That may be true, but they’re still great for keeping little hands and minds busy on the road or in the air, so we’re featuring them here…
Right now there are two clearly gender-based packs, the Mini-Sports Fan Activity Pack and the Girly Girl Activity Pack (10 points if you guess which one is for whom). Both packs are appropriate for the 3 and up age group, and contain a Melissa & Doug doodle tablet, silly putty, crayons and similarly unisex stuff; the Girly Girl pack features a beaded bracelet and comes in a white plastic tote while the Mini-Sports Pack includes a race car and comes in, of course, blue. We’re assuming the stickers in each pack are similarly focused on the boy/girl thing… We have to admit we think the strict gender division thing is a little old school (our daughter loves sports and bracelets) and we’d love to see more of these with different themes, but for now, grab what they’ve got.
