This week’s villa has the added advantage of being part of a resort community; you’ll get the best of both worlds, with the space and privacy of a villa complemented by many of the activities of a resort. Sea Horse Ranch, on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic in Sosua, features a tennis center, equestrian center, seaside yoga classes, and a rather large children’s park. During the summer vacation period you’ll also find a summer camp for kids 5 to 14 which takes advantage of all the above amenities and then some.

Villa 68, featured here, is just one of several villas for rent at Sea Horse Ranch. Laid out ranch-style over 3012 square feet, the villa, actually one of the smallest at the resort, has 3 bedrooms, all of which have king-size beds, and 3 bathrooms. The master bedroom, includes the unique and rather romantic feature of a private inlet into the pool (see picture below), and a jacuzzi. The entire villa is air-conditioned and sits in a garden setting.

Rates for Villa 68 start at $600 a night, depending on season. All rental villas come with daily maid service, and extra services (nanny, chef and/or chauffeur with hired car) can be added to your rental for additional fees.
