The Chambers Hotel Minneapolis – sister to the Chambers in NYC – bills itself as the city’s luxury art hotel, and with design by David Rockwell and a restaurant helmed by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who are we to argue? Its 60 rooms and suites have a spacious feel, with modern design that still manages to be warm and inviting. Beds feature pillow-top mattresses and 400-count linens, and the bathrooms have rain showers, heated floors, and organic bath amenities. And while your luxury romantic weekend shouldn’t include any work-related plans, the complimentary WiFi may come in handy during your next visit. For now, you can kick back and enjoy the large flat screen in your room while enjoying the Do Not Disturb package, which includes:

It is well-nigh impossible to travel in Italy without discovering something historic – Italy has the most UNESCO World Heritage Sites on the planet, and there are plenty of things that UNESCO doesn’t get to numbering that are likely more ancient than whatever you’ve encountered before. This is a land with history.
