    Luxury Family Vacation – Biras Creek Resort, British Virgin Islands

    Although summer feels over with the arrival of Labor Day, the truth is, there’s still time to enjoy warm weather – especially if you head to the Caribbean.     Biras Creek has received numerous accolades over the years, including a spot on Travel + Leisure’s Top 500 Hotels Worldwide for 2007. A Relais & Chateaux property, the resort comprises 33 luxurious suites, all true suites with separate living space, and they’re outfitted with unique touches such as bicycles that are useful for exploring and getting around the resort’s 140 acres. All suites have views of either the ocean or lush vegetation. With the BVI being a major sailing hub, snorkeling and boating are high on the list of activities to engage in, but the resort’s Guest Assistants are on hand to advise on other things to do if desired.

    What we like: The Ocean and Garden Suites have outdoor garden showers which, as the Biras website discreetly notes, are big enough for two.

    The Biras Creek Family Summer Fun Package is designed for families with two kids between 8 and 16. The package includes:

    • Two connecting suites for 7 nights
    • All meals for 2 adults and 2 children
    • A bottle of champagne for the parents
    • Free snorkeling lessons for the family
    • A half-day trip to BVI’s famous Baths to snorkel

    This package is valid from until November 15 2007. The resort closes annually from August 15 to October 1.
