    Seeing Santa in NYC

    Thursday, November 29th, 2007

© Vadym Nechyporenko - Fotolia.comIf you’ll be visiting the Big Apple during the holidays and want to put a visit with Santa on the itinerary, Citysearch has a listing of the most common places around town to find Santa this season, including Macy’s, Bloomie’s and other shopping venues. The best thing about this list? Right below it is another list of decidedly more upscale spots where you can indulge in some holiday self-pampering gift shopping. (Okay, a little bit of both…but doesn’t all that shopping for others earn you a massage or two?) (more…)

    Subscribe and Ye Shall Receive

    Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

We just wanted to point out that (finally!) you can now subscribe to Child of Leisure, via feed and email (see the buttons to the right.) Email subscribers will get special newsletters with subscriber-only deals for fun swag, pampering trips and whatever else we can finagle for our fabulous family readers. We promise, no names or email addresses will be sold or given away, so you’ll only get emails from us, on things we think you’d be interested in. (Of course, you can unsubscribe at any time - but we hope you won’t want to!)

The first 100 email subscribers will be entered to win a baby beanie from one of our favorite stores, Kangaroodle. We featured these baby beanies in a previous post; they’re great for winter travel and the numerous color and style combos (see one below) make it hard to choose just one. (Note that although cute babies are featured in these hats, sizes range from newborn to 4-year old.) If you don’t win, just stay tuned for a cool coupon code from Kangaroodle and other deals in upcoming emails.
