Mexico Boutique Hotels Adds Concierge Service
Sunday, November 25, 2007
Mexico Boutique Hotels has brought Rocio Martinez Quintal on board to implement a concierge service that will span all 45 properties and will hopefully be of considerable help to families visiting any of the hotels. Martinez Quintal is a member of the prestigious and international Clefs D’Or organization for concierges, and brings to the Mexico Boutique Hotels a heightened awareness of how the service level affects the guest experience.
New components of service that Martinez Quintal will be spearheading include calling guests a week prior to arrival to discuss what weather to expect, what to pack, and to see if guests have any special needs or requests. These can range from arrangements to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries, to recommendations and reservations for child-friendly tours and activities. Guests are also contacted post-stay, to make sure that all needs and expectations were met. According to Martinez Quintal:
The post-departure is just as important. We want to know if both MBH and the property lived up to our mission of offering a quality brand with great hotels that provide wonderful experiences, so we contact guests after their travels… We invite them to share their comments on the hotel’s MBH webpage and we ensure the hotel receives their reviews so we can keep refining every aspect of our service.
Of course, a service such as this can be extremely helpful to parents. Utilizing this or any other concierge service can alert you to activities on and off the property and help you refine your packing list for the children. In addition, with a bit of advance notice, even those properties that don’t advertise child-specific amenities may find ways of making your children feel special during their stay, so it’s always a good idea to let them know personally – not just via an online form – that your children will be coming, and how old they are.
Member properties of Mexico Boutique Hotels include the Quinta Real Huatulco (above) to Secreto in Isla Mujeres (below).
