This 48-room luxury beach resort recently left Starwood’s Luxury Collection and is now operating independently. Built in 1968, the resort was remodeled in 2001 and features Mediterranean-inspired buildings surrounding an infinity-edge swimming pool on 3 sides. On the fourth side? The Pacific Ocean and the hotel’s golden sandy beach.
The spacious accommodations feature white with plenty of color splashed about on an odd wall here, some Mexican art there. Your best bet as a family are the suites or casitas, which offer a kitchenette, dining room, a living room that opens out onto a balcony and in some cases, more than one bedroom. However, standard rooms with double beds are also an option.

- 2 nights with a 3rd night free
- 20% off at the hotel’s La Lantana Restaurant,
