Orange You Ready For Un-Diaper Bags?
Tuesday, January 22, 2008You know how much we hate the traditional diaper bag. Even the more modern dots and Asian brocades have begun to signify “baby.”
Which is why we prefer what we call the undiaper bag, pretty much any bag that is roomy enough to use as a diaper bag, but has not been designed as one. For traveling, undiaper bags are excellent, as they can be used for shopping, carry-ons, or while sightseeing. These are bags that don’t so much say “I am a modern trendy mom” as much as they say, “This is my damn bag and I happen to have my kid’s stuff in here.”
Peek at some we’ve scouted out that fit the bill, all sporting varying hues of orange, a hot color making a comeback (for the brave, it never left.) No, they may not have spill-proof linings or sport changing pads, but you can always add a stand-alone pad and keep zip-loc bags handy. When kiddo starts carrying his own juice-box, you won’t be left holding the (look-at-me! I-have-a-baby!) bag.
