Disney with the Grandparents
Wednesday, September 10th, 2008
This news may actually apply to some parents out there, but here goes… Disney and AARP have announced a joint venture of sorts, whereby members of AARP will receive all kinds of wonderful discounts from the House of Mouse. Not only will the 39 million+ members be able to get discounts on cool kid stuff like DVDs and toys, they’ll also be treated to special experiences at events such as Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival and its Flower & Garden Festival. According to the AARP, grandparents in the baby boomer generation spend over $30 billion a year on their offspring’s offspring - and surely some of that must be via Orlando. So, if you’re a grandparent or late-blooming parent with an AARP membership, you’ve got some goodies coming your way, for you and the kiddies, thanks to Disney.
