Hello, lovely parent! Child of Leisure is, like giving birth was, a labor of love. After spending over 8 years working with luxury brands, many of which were travel marketers, I had children. And it hit me that many of the wonderful hotels, restaurants and destinations I’d been to now felt “off limits” unless I visited sans kids. Did it have to be so? I realized that in many cases, the answer was no – I could have my snazzy vacay and my kids too, as long as I did careful prep work ahead of time on both the destination and my kids’ behavior. In talking to many other parents – like me, late to parenting and with an established love of the finer things in life – I realized that others might appreciate the information I was digging up. Since I was having so much fun trolling the internet looking for hot hip places that I could visit with kids, why not share? So here we are, with me doing all I can to make sure that my kids – and yours – can go on vacations that are tasteful and interesting to them and to their parents.
