Luxury Hotel Offer of the Week – Four Seasons Hotel, Las Vegas

    Thursday, May 24th, 2007

So what happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas, but that’s not always true – you’ve got two kids to show for it. If you want to return to the scene of the crime, bring the kids along – Vegas actually does have more to offer than casinos and Wayne Newton. In other words, yes, it is possible to plan a family vacation in Vegas, and the Four Seasons Las Vegas has a great package to help you do just that.

It may seem a little odd for a desert property to have a package with an aquatic focus, but this is Vegas, land of pseudo-pyramids and a faux Venetian canal, so why not a beach? Along with access to the Mandalay Bay beach, which is spread out across 11 acres and also has a wave pool, the Four Seasons family vacation package includes:

    • Luxurious accommodations
    • In-room welcome snack upon arrival, appropriate for children’s ages
    • Children’s menus in Verandah Restaurant and through In-Room Dining
    • Use of children’s robes during stay
    • Choice of one complimentary children’s in-room movie or one hour of video games daily
    • Tickets to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay for two adults and two children
    • 20% off your entire purchase at FAO Schwarz inside the Forum Shops
    • A US$50 credit per room, per day, toward incidental charges (excluding room and tax)
    • Special savings on a second room for children*

We find that in big bustling cities like Vegas, it’s nice to be near the action without having to be in it. Thankfully, the Four Seasons is located close enough to nightlife and the strip , but with no casinos of its own, you and the fam can retreat to a more serene environment when the hustle and heat get to be too much (or when it’s nap time).

Luxury Hotel Offer of the Week – Elbow Beach, Bermuda

    Thursday, May 17th, 2007

Bermuda is often mistakenly referred to as a Caribbean country, but it actually sits firmly in the Atlantic Ocean, only an approximate 750 miles southeast of New York. Its more northern location makes it less than ideal for those looking for a warm-weather escape in the dead of winter – it can get quite chilly there. There are other caveats for families as well: taxi rides – along with pretty much everything else – are expensive, and rentals consist of scooters, which are fine with tweens and teens but not the best way to get around for those with young children. Still, if you’re looking for a family vacation in a spot not too far from the East Coast, Bermuda is a wonderful destination that’s easy to get to.

Part of the Mandarin Oriental luxury chain of hotels, Elbow Beach is offering a Family Package that includes: (more…)
