    Critter Luggage Tags

    Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

As much as luggage tags are supposed to help you identify your luggage, the darn things can sometimes pop off. Or, as often happens with us, we just want a new look. (Yes, even with luggage tags - shameful, we know).

    Critter Luggage Tags

We happened across these cutesies on the Container Store website - great for kids or adults who don’t mind being thought of as kids. They come in Bee, Panda, Frog and Ladybug (just in case you didn’t suss that out from the picture at left) and they’re on sale for $5.99. (Not that the original $7.99 price was so ridiculous, but in this economy, we’ll take any sale…)

Grab ‘em while you can - and check out a whole host of other travel items on sale too.

    Travel Gifts for Dad

    Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Okay, we know - we didn’t post specific gifts for moms and Mother’s Day just rolled on by. (Happy Mother’s Day by the way…)

We were too busy being feted by our own offspring - presents included some delightful tropical flowers, courtesy of Dad, and an absolutely gorgeous and priceless handmade jewelry box made as only a 4-year old can.

Now it’s Dad’s turn, and we have to post something, because let’s face it, shopping for Dad is always a little harder. Most of what’s out there is so boring - no matter how glamorous the tie is, it’s another tie. So we tried to scope out gifts for traveling dudes, gifts with a little pizzazz…

    The Warmest Stroller Blanket Ever

    Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Okay, so maybe how to bundle up the kids for the cold isn’t exactly top of mind right now. But we just came across this super-warm stroller blanket and thought, gee, this is perfect for cold-weather and we have to share. If you love going out in the cold but are fearful for your little one’s ability to hang tough, this oughta do the trick.

We found this blizzard-fierce stroller blanket over at Delight. The ergonomic hood (no, we’re not sure what that is either) keeps Junior toasty, as does the thermal fill and the waterproof outer shell. Thanks to zippers, you can widen and lengthen it to fit any carseat, stroller, or child from infancy to pre-K. The pricetag might remind you of cashmere, but for this level of comfort - not to mention the potential lifespan of the blanket thanks to the expansion factor - maybe you’ll be able to justify shelling out that much to keep your precious cargo warm for winter travels near and far.
