If you’re expecting a baby, quick, flee to Little Palm Island Resort & Spa. The babymoon package on offer is a wonderful way to enjoy this exceptional property, and the resort doesn’t accept guests under the age of 16. This may be your last chance to visit them for quite some time.

Luxury Babymoon – Lost Mountain Lodge, Sequim, WA

    Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

If you’re looking for a luxury babymoon in a pastoral setting, the Lost Mountain Lodge is a sure bet. The lodge features only 3 suites in its main building, each with king-size beds, wood-burning fireplaces, sitting areas and 32-inch flat-panel TVs with surround sound. You’ll be staying in one of these if you opt for the babymoon package featured below, but take note: the lodge also offers private vacation cottages that accommodate children and are fitted out with luxurious furnishings and all the mod cons of home. As for the setting? Secluded and private are the keywords: you’ll only receive specific directions with confirmed reservations. Just know that you’ll be within minutes of the misty forest and hiking trails of Olympic National Park, and close to the saltwater beaches of Dungeness Spit & National Wildlife Refuge. If you’re not inclined to stray even that far, you’ll find the lodge’s 9 acres of meadows and ponds to be rewarding enough.

Queen Suite at The Adolphus, Dallas TexasWe’ll be upfront – we think this package is a bit of clever marketing that doesn’t totally deliver in the babymoon category. While the name suggests that it’s a babymoon, and parents to be are mentioned in the marketing materials, when you look at the offerings, it’s really just another romantic getaway that someone was smart enough to promote to parents-to-be. Which we’re fine with – there’s no reason a babymoon has to have a special “pregnancy” component (although cocktails for a pregnant woman may not be the best freebie in the world). Since the concept is about connecting for one final time with your significant other before baby comes, a cute onesie for baby does not have to be part of the package. (And won’t Baby get loads of attention soon enough?) (more…)
