Luxury Hotel Offer of the Week – Four Seasons Hotel, Las Vegas

    Thursday, May 24th, 2007

So what happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas, but that’s not always true – you’ve got two kids to show for it. If you want to return to the scene of the crime, bring the kids along – Vegas actually does have more to offer than casinos and Wayne Newton. In other words, yes, it is possible to plan a family vacation in Vegas, and the Four Seasons Las Vegas has a great package to help you do just that.

It may seem a little odd for a desert property to have a package with an aquatic focus, but this is Vegas, land of pseudo-pyramids and a faux Venetian canal, so why not a beach? Along with access to the Mandalay Bay beach, which is spread out across 11 acres and also has a wave pool, the Four Seasons family vacation package includes:

    • Luxurious accommodations
    • In-room welcome snack upon arrival, appropriate for children’s ages
    • Children’s menus in Verandah Restaurant and through In-Room Dining
    • Use of children’s robes during stay
    • Choice of one complimentary children’s in-room movie or one hour of video games daily
    • Tickets to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay for two adults and two children
    • 20% off your entire purchase at FAO Schwarz inside the Forum Shops
    • A US$50 credit per room, per day, toward incidental charges (excluding room and tax)
    • Special savings on a second room for children*

We find that in big bustling cities like Vegas, it’s nice to be near the action without having to be in it. Thankfully, the Four Seasons is located close enough to nightlife and the strip , but with no casinos of its own, you and the fam can retreat to a more serene environment when the hustle and heat get to be too much (or when it’s nap time).

The Babymoon Biweekly is going weekly! There have been so many people looking for luxury babymoon ideas that it seemed only right to step up to meet the demand of parents-to-be who want that last trip that specifically celebrates their roles as parents. And since we couldn’t agree more that a babymoon is not so much a privilege as a necessity, we’re happy to show you where some of the best babymoons are.

Today, we bring you the Expecting You package at the Four Seasons in Chicago. Verbatim from their website, your special visit includes a lot of goodies (although we note that a lot of them are discounts on items or services that you have to purchase on top of the package): (more…)

    Somewhere, The Sun is Shining…

    Friday, March 16th, 2007

If you’re anywhere in the Northeast or Midwest parts of the US, you’ve probably seen enough snow this winter to last you a lifetime. Just when you thought winter was over…

If you’re like us, one of the ways to beat the winter doldrums is to daydream about – or even take , if you can do spur of the moment – a warm-weather vacation. So it’s the perfect time to point out that Travel + Leisure Family has come out with its list of Top 10 Family Resorts in the Caribbean. What we love about this list besides the whole “Caribbean” aspect? The fact that all of these places are great for kids while maintaining some kind of adult sophistication. (Although Beaches might be the only one we would pass up – you know our rule about Elmo on vacation.)

    Royal Beachfront Villa
Four Seasons Great Exuma, #3 on the list

In short, here is the list:
    1. Las Casitas Village and Golden Door Spa, Puerto Rico (we had the best massage we’ve ever had right at this spa)
    2. Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort & Spa
    3. Four Seasons Great Exuma at Emerald Bay, Bahamas (haven’t been yet but if it’s Four Seasons you can bet we will get there)
    4. Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas
    5. Paradisus Puerto Rico Resort (we’ve heard fab things about the Costa Rica property of Paradisus too)
    6. Four Seasons Resort Nevis (again, Four Seasons – enough said)
    7. Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino
    8. Round Hill Hotel & Villas, Jamaica
    9. Beaches Negril Resort & Spa
    10. Westin St. John Resort & Villas, USVI (a personal favorite over here so we’re glad it made the list)

Grab a cup of cocoa – or a shot of brandy – and then check out the full list, along with descriptions and pricing for the properties, here.
